DRP Security Services

Loss Prevention

In retail stores, DRP Security's loss prevention agents safeguard the assets of the store by apprehending anyone attempting to steal merchandise or destroy store property. They prevent theft by shoplifters, vendor representatives, delivery personnel, even store employees. Store detectives conduct periodic inspections of stock areas, dressing rooms, and restrooms, and sometimes assist in opening and closing the store. They may prepare loss prevention and security reports for management and testify in court against persons they apprehend.

DRP Security’s hotel detectives protect guests of the establishment from theft of their belongings and preserve order in hotel restaurants and bars. They may also keep undesirable individuals, such as known thieves, from entering the premises.

Crowd Control

Under supervision and direction, DRP Security personnel plan and coordinate audience operations pertaining to crowd control at large public events in multi-purpose or performance-type buildings or events.

DRP Security can provide plans and coordination of controlled arrival and departure of audiences, their proper seating, and their comfort during events; coordinate traffic control and parking operations; provide adequate and appropriate staffing for events; arrange for and coordinate visitors and their needs; maintain statistical data reflecting sales trends, per capita consumption, etc. to management of concessions; coordinate concession activities and supply with outside vendors and agencies and in-house food service operations; and other duties requested of security detail.

Patrol

DRP Security provides security guards, who are often called security officers, to patrol and inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity. These workers protect their employer’s investment, enforce laws on the property, and deter criminal activity or other problems. They use radio and telephone communications to call for assistance from police, fire, or emergency medical services as the situation dictates. Security officers write comprehensive reports outlining their observations and activities during their assigned shift. They may also interview witnesses or victims, prepare case reports, and testify in court.

DRP Security officers may work in a ‘static’ or ‘mobil’ security position. While many of the duties are similar, guards assigned a static security position usually serve the client at one location for a specific duration. These guards must become closely acquainted with the property and people associated with it, and often monitor alarms and closed-circuit TV camera feeds. Guards assigned to mobile patrol duty drive or walk from location to location and conduct security checks within an assigned geographical area or zone. They may detain or arrest criminal violators, answer service calls concerning criminal activity or problems, and issue traffic violation warnings.
